Courses

Our courses are developed and delivered in close consultation with industry. As well as spending time in lectures and labs, your engineering course will involve up to 12 weeks of practical work experience in the engineering industry. This is a great way to kick-start your career.

Courses have a common multi-disciplinary first year and most have been professionally accredited by Engineers Australia and recognised under the Washington Accord. This means your engineering qualification will be internationally recognised. You’ll be world ready.

Engineering scholarships for high performers

ECU is offering scholarships valued at $20,000 to high performing Year 12 students who wish to study Engineering in 2020.

The scholarship will be paid over 4 years, $5,000 per annum, or pro-rata for part-time studies, once you become an enrolled student at ECU.

If you're studying both Maths Methods and Physics, and you're on target to achieve an ATAR of 94 or above, you should apply now at ecu.edu.au/scholarships/engineering-excellence.

Support your flying training with a HELP loan

If you study ECU's Bachelor of Aviation course you'll have access to an increased Higher Education Loan Program (HELP) loan limit of $152,700 to support your flying training.

    Since high school I have always wanted to be involved with the engineering profession. I attended the Open Days of the various universities and was immediately captured by both the staff and facilities at ECU. The manufacturing workshop and motorsports team are world-class and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to study at ECU. The staff are always more than happy to help with any issues you have, and the incredible lab facilities provided real hands-on experience.

    I completed my work placement with BHP in my final year of study and loved it. The 12 weeks provided an insight into how my engineering degree could be applied in industry, as well as the different avenues my career could take. The greatest challenge I undertook while at university was definitely the Technical Director position in the ECU Racing motorsports team. This was incredibly rewarding as the position allowed me to work with and manage a large group of students in completing a large-scale project.
