  • If you want a well-rounded and practical experience, definitely study Engineering at ECU

    My advice to students would be to study to get a job, not to get a degree. Maximise your opportunities to get experience that will get you a career. So for me, that was participating in Engineering societies, going overseas, joining the Vice‑Chancellor's forum and so forth. All of these gave me interpersonal skills and international experience.

    If you want a well‑rounded and practical experience, definitely study Engineering at ECU.

  • When I enrolled at ECU, little did I know that it would lead to me being a part of something historic

    In my last semester of my course I got an industry placement in the Events Department of the Fremantle Dockers Football Club.

    Due to my positive work ethic, I was offered casual employment. In the lead-up to Grand Final I was suddenly asked to fly to Melbourne to fill in for a permanent staff member. I was in charge of managing security, caterers and audio technicians. All the skills and theory I picked up in my years at ECU helped me play a part in running the biggest function the club ever had – their historic first grand final.

  • I gained employment straight after my final practicum placement

    The Early Childhood Teaching course is extremely practical. I was in the classroom on placements from my first semester, which allowed me to put theory into practice.

    I formed really great two-way relationships with my lecturers. They all came from teaching backgrounds, and were able to pass on knowledge from their own experience of classrooms and early learning settings.

Course tuition fees can change, but we can give you an estimate of your costs. If you're eligible, a scholarship or student loan can help too.

Applying

Applying for a course is a fairly simple process, especially if you have scanned copies of qualifications, your resume or other paperwork, ready to upload.
