Choose your pathway, choose your destination

There's more than one way to enter an undergraduate course at ECU.

Depending on what you've studied already, or your work or life experience, you have options – we call them admission pathways.

Your possible pathway could be through a UniPrep course or the Experience Based Entry Scheme.

"All the skills I got from UniPrep helped me jump right into the content... I was really prepared before going into my degree"

UniPrep graduate Savanna didn't study for an ATAR in Year 12, but found the course a great introduction to university and to the skills she needed to start a bachelors degree.

Our UniPrep courses are open to school leavers who’ve completed Year 12 or equivalent, plus WACE, and can meet English competency requirements.

Mature age students can also apply for UniPrep, subject to meeting English competency requirements.

UniPrep is mostly free, and success in the course can lead to entry into many of our degree courses.

Experience Based Entry Scheme

The Experience Based Entry Scheme is a pathway that assesses your ability to succeed in higher education, and is based on a portfolio of evidence.

Your previous qualifications and education, a resume and references will be required and assessed as part of your application.
