Edith Cowan University (ECU) is proud to announce a new partnership with the Malka Foundation, aimed at fostering entrepreneurship, innovation and collaboration in Western Australia. This significant venture underscores both organisations' commitment to supporting and cultivating future leaders through education.
"Together with the Malka Foundation we are creating new and exciting opportunities to empower future entrepreneurs and the industry leaders of tomorrow by providing them with the education, mentorship and creative technologies they need to thrive," ECU Vice-Chancellor Professor Clare Pollock said.
The Malka Foundation's contribution to ECU will further support the development of a creative technology and entrepreneurial ecosystem, enabling exciting initiatives in the state-of-the-art, specially designed spaces at ECU City where world-class innovation programs and short courses will open to students from diverse backgrounds.
"This partnership enables ECU to design and deliver learning programs where students can engage in creative technology, design thinking, app development and in the process grow their business and entrepreneurial skills," Professor Pollock added.
"The Malka Foundation is delighted to include ECU as a member of the cohort of organisations we support to give young people the opportunity to explore innovative and entrepreneurial career paths," Derek Gerrard, Chairman of Malka Foundation said.
"We congratulate ECU on the vision they have for the city campus which will create an exciting new centre of innovation in our state."
The Malka Foundation, established by Malcolm Steinberg, advocates for leadership and entrepreneurial education, believing that a diverse economy enriches communities and enhances quality of life.
The partnership aligns with both partners' goals to support economic growth and empower young people in Western Australia to develop business skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
