Orientation @ ECU

Welcome! At ECU your whole student experience is important to us and we want you to feel that you are part of the ECU community. We know that commencing University can be a little daunting and to assist we provide support even before classes actually commence through our comprehensive Orientation program, which includes a full range of free academic, support and social activities. To ensure that you are well prepared to meet the academic requirements for your course you should attend as many Orientation activities as you can as research has shown these sessions really help students commence their studies with increased confidence and greater understanding of what is required to succeed at university.

ECU urges all students to attend any of the Welcome Days at Joondalup and South West campuses on Tuesday 22nd July or Mount Lawley campus Thursday 24th July. Most of the Schools and Faculties will have their Induction sessions on these days where students will be provided with specific details about their course study requirements, booklists, unit advice, practicum requirements if applicable and an introduction to key staff. In addition, the Welcome Days will provide an official welcome by the Vice-Chancellor, inspiring speakers including current students who have survived and thrived beyond first year and information and fun stalls and giveaways capped off by a free barbecue lunch. No bookings are necessary for this event although some Induction sessions may require you to book online.
