Year 12 Pathways for 2022
The good thing about completing Year 12 these days is the options you have.
If you want to study at uni you should try to do your best and get an ATAR of at least 70. But if that doesn't work out, all is not lost.
As you'll see in this short video, there's more than one pathway into uni.

ATAR Based Pathways

ATAR entry
This is the usual pathway for school leavers with an ATAR, requiring you to submit your course preferences via TISC.

This pathway gives you the opportunity to obtain an early offer for a place at uni before you start your Year 12 exams. All you need is your predicted ATAR and/or a copy of your latest school results.

Creative Arts Portfolio Entry
This pathway allows you to be considered for entry to specific undergraduate courses in creative arts and design disciplines without an ATAR. It's based on a digital portfolio of your work, plus an interview.

UniPrep Accelerate
This is our brand new program for school leavers with a near-miss ATAR. It's an intensive 4-week university preparation course run in January on our Joondalup Campus. On successful completion, you'll be able to start uni in Semester 1 with everyone else. Best of all, it's free! If you expect an ATAR between 55 -69, you can apply now.

Our free UniPrep Summer program is now available for school leavers. The program is for people who are likely to attain an ATAR of below 55 or won't attain an ATAR at all. It runs from the end of November to the end of January on our Joondalup and South West campuses. On successful completion, you'll start uni in time for Semester 1. You can apply for UniPrep Summer now.
Special consideration will be given to 2020 Year 12 cohorts to allow you to apply for UniPrep Summer based on your first semester Year 12 results.

We offer other entry options for people we call 'mature age students'. This includes the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT), VET qualifications, relevant work experience and more.

Yes you do. Successful completion of Year 12 will give you a great foundation for success at university. We encourage you to do your best and attain the highest ATAR possible – but don't stress out if you don't perform as well as you were hoping. You have options as you can see on this page.
