ECU's School of Science is running and supporting several events for National Science Week.
National Science Week is just around the corner, and Edith Cowan University (ECU) is proud to be running and supporting several events.
Taking place in August, National Science Week is Australia's annual celebration of science and technology.
From 15 to 23 August, there will be an exciting line-up of interactive events showcasing the creativity, excitement and impact of science in our community.
ECU School of Science Outreach and Engagement Coordinator Cass Rowles - who is also Co-Chair of the WA Coordinating Committee for National Science Week – said the aim was to spark an interest in science among the wider public.
"Evey year ECU gets involved in National Science Week, from running events to sponsoring the grant program," Ms Rowles said. "This year the School of Science has sponsored $10,000 worth of grants, giving communities around Western Australia the opportunity to engage with science."

Deaf STEM Day – Wednesday, 19 August
Where Deaf Teens and Science Meet! Head to our Joondalup Campus for a day of science, technology, engineering, and maths, for Deaf and Hard of Hearing teenagers. Auslan interpreters will be provided for the event.
Teachers can book tickets through trybooking. Funded by Inspiring Australia and National Science Week.
The Science Buffet – Saturday, 15 August
Join us at Bunnings Joondalup for interactive stalls celebrating all things Science, alongside Currambine Primary School. Sample a buffet of hands-on science experiences for the whole family.
