Transitioning campuses in 2026

Main Content

With the opening of our world-class ECU City campus in semester one, 2026, and teaching at our Mount Lawley campus due to end later this year, a number of course and unit offerings across the university will soon be delivered from new locations.

Where will I study in 2026?

We've compiled a list of courses and majors that will be affected by these moves. The list will be refined in the lead-up to 2026, and we'll keep you updated along the way.

How to find your course or specialisation (major or minor)

Search by your course or specialisation (major or minor) code or name to find out which campus we anticipate it will be based at from 2026.

You may find some of your units are located across more than one campus.

If your course or major is not listed, it may mean that it will continue to be delivered from its existing location at Joondalup, South West, internationally or online.

Access, safety and staff interaction

ECU City is located at Perth City Link, in the CBD. It is bound by Roe, Wellington and Queen streets and directly interfaces with Yagan Square.

The Perth Busport is seamlessly integrated into the campus itself, while the Perth Train Station and Perth Underground lines are a two-minute walk away.

ECU City will have extensive end-of-trip facilities, including showers and lockers, and a bike park with several recharging ports for those travelling via e-bike or scooter.

Our Joondalup and city campuses will be connected by a 21-minute train ride. Our South West campus will also be connected via the Australind Train from Perth Station.

For those that need to drive their car, Perth CBD has a range of paid parking options within the area, including nearby on Roe and Wellington Streets.

The ECU City campus is extremely well-connected to public transport, with key services just minutes away:

  • Perth Train Station: Approx. 160–200 metres from campus (about a 2-minute walk). Connects to the Perth Underground and Joondalup line, making inter-campus travel easy.
  • Perth Underground Station: Also around 160–200 metres away (2-minute walk). Ideal for students travelling from south of the river - just exit and walk down William Street.
  • Perth Busport: Integrated into the ECU City campus. Depending on your entry point, it’s effectively a 0–1 minute walk.

Given the central location, safety at ECU City involves multiple agencies – WA Police, City of Perth, the Public Transport Authority (PTA), and ECU – working together. We have been collaborating with these groups to ensure a coordinated approach to the safety and security of the entire precinct.

Inside the campus, ECU will manage security measures. This will include technology like CCTV, onsite security personnel, and implementing other safety measures as needed.

While we’re still finalising the specifics, here’s what we can share so far:

  • Access control: As is the case at our current campuses, certain areas of ECU City will require swipe card access and will only be available to staff and/or students. Public spaces will be open from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday. Outside these hours, staff and students will still have access to the building using their swipe cards.
  • A collaborative effort: The combined expertise of our internal safety and security team and external agencies enables coverage of both the campus interior and its surroundings.
  • Continued level of safety and security: While the environment at ECU City will be different to our suburban campuses, the commitment to the security and safety of students, staff and visitors remains a top priority, as it is on all ECU campuses. There will be an on-campus security presence 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

As always, the safety of our entire ECU community is a priority, and we’re committed to creating a secure and welcoming environment at ECU City.

ECU City uses a modern, open-plan design to encourage collaboration and flexibility. Instead of private offices, there are:

  • Focus pods and booths for quiet work
  • Bookable meeting rooms for private chats and consultations
  • Open workstations and informal spaces for teamwork

If you need to meet staff privately, you can book a meeting room or ask your lecturer to arrange a space. These setups ensure you can connect comfortably and confidentially.

You can book a meeting room or ask your lecturer or tutor to reserve a private space. These rooms provide comfortable, confidential places to meet despite the open-plan design.

You can also meet at any of the spaces around campus, such as our laneways or terraces, designed for holding more informal meetings.

Yes, the current parking capacity at Joondalup campus is expected to be sufficient with the departure of the School of Business and Law and the arrival of the School of Education.

ECU will continue to monitor parking demand closely throughout 2026 and beyond to ensure adequate availability.
