stories

"The atmosphere at ECU was friendly and welcoming. Over the course of my degree, I have made some lifelong friends through volunteer groups, social events and classes."
Lauren Menegola
Lauren MenegolaECU Human Resource Management and Management graduate

Whilst studying at ECU, I was an ambassador for the Australian Human Resource Institute (AHRI). Being an ambassador helped me to successfully apply for the AHRI internship program, which secured me an internship in the HR department at CGG – one of the two work placements I have been able to complete whilst studying at ECU. Both were invaluable experiences and have assisted in identifying the areas of Human Resources that I would like to focus on. After my three weeks interning at CGG, I was offered a contract with the company, where I worked whilst I completed my studies. This has provided a great opportunity to apply the theory I have learnt throughout my degree, and I have no doubt that this will assist my employability now that I have completed my degree.
