Edith Cowan University is committed to excellence and practical outcomes from its education and research programs, and this includes matters of vital importance to Australia’s national interests such as Defence. ECU is supporting Defence through programs in cyber security, engineering and science, health sciences and information warfare.

About

ECU seeks to deliver support to Defence through:

  • A strong awareness of Defence needs;
  • Ongoing engagement with Defence and other Government agencies as customers;
  • Provision of advice to help enhance Australia’s defence capabilities;
  • Development and shaping of University programs to deliver research and education outcomes of relevance to Defence; and
  • Partnering with industry to translate knowledge into actionable innovation.

Programs

ECU is delivering Defence outcomes within four programs:

  • cyber security;
  • human performance;
  • engineering and science; and
  • information warfare.

Partners

ECU is a member of the Team WA group of universities, that coordinate on Defence and other matters to achieve synergies across the academic sector.

ECU is also a member of key defence, cyber security and industry bodies.
