Activity 2: Enhanced understanding of specific drugs and comorbid conditions

In this two-hour interactive education activity health care providers choose between a number of alcohol and drug / mental health topics (approximately four topics over a two-hour event). This will utilise short presentations either as a video lecture, PowerPoint presentation or information fact sheet. For example a group of GPs view short video lectures on topics (10-15 minutes each) presented by an alcohol and drug/mental health specialist.

After viewing the content a local facilitator leads participants in a question and answer discussion regarding the topic and local services available for patients.  A “Phone a friend” option is available - a Perth based specialist on hand to answer any clinical questions.

Alternatively health providers can view the online alcohol and drug lectures in their own time.

Learning objectives
