Website preferences

The ECU website allows you to customise your user experience by changing some of the default properties of our web pages. Currently these customisations will only apply to web pages that are in the 2009 Corporate Web Style (Red) and (Blue), which includes this page.

Text Size

This option will alter the size of all displayed text within the website. Please note this value can also be changed by using the "A- A+" options if they are present in the top-right part of a webpage that employs the 2009 Corporate Web Style (Red).

Web Style

This option will change the rendering of any webpage running through the ECU WebCMS, and are designed to cater for various accessibility issues, such as low speed connections, small screen browsers and for printing.

Search Default

This option will allow you set the default search action for the top-right search box on all web pages that employ the 2009 Corporate Web Style (Red) and (Blue). The default search action is to perform a Google search of the ECU Website.

Notes

  1. Some ECU web pages will not support the functionality above until they are migrated into the ECU WebCMS. Migration of all ECU's web pages is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2011.
  2. Customising your user experience requires that you have javascript and cookies enabled in your web browser. If disabled, you will receive the default settings.
  3. Preference settings are stored within a cookie, per browser, per computer, for a period of 30 days. This means you have to set your preferences more than once if you use more than one computer.
