Travelling by foot
Should you be travelling by foot, and especially if you are alone or it’s after sunset, please consider the following personal safety tips:
- walk on well lit routes;
- have your keys in your hand ready to open a locked door;
- call Campus Security for an escort;
- when possible, let someone you know and trust be aware of your return time and route;
- avoid walking alone after sunset; and
- refrain from taking shortcuts; walk where there is plenty of light and traffic.
