Membership Consultant

What the role involves

  • Working under the guidance of the sales manager, you will be responsible for membership sales to new and renewing members through a structured sales process
  • Advise existing members on  additional services and ECU Sports and Fitness Centre programs
  • Be involved in new member follow up programs to maximise centre usage and member retention
  • Working as part of a goal orientated, sales team in a fast paced, dynamic environment (and of course stopping for a bit of fun every now and then too!)

About you

  • Previous sales  or customer service experience preferred but not essential if you have the right personality
  • Target driven , proactive and able to work unsupervised
  • Fantastic people skills and excellent phone manner
  • Excellent time management and administration ability

Front Counter Reception

What the role involves

  • Provide a high level of customer service at all times to patrons of ECU Sports Centres
  • Work professionally and efficiently as a team member
  • To maintain an efficient and professional reception area
  • Ability to work irregular hours and weekends

About you

  • Previous experience in a customer service role preferred but not essential if you have the right personality
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work in a busy environment and provide outstanding customer service

Fitness Instructor

What the role involves

  • Conduct a wide range of fitness assessments (including BP, Flexibility, Height, Weight, Girth Measurements, Body Fat Analysis
  • Have a sound knowledge of nutritional guidelines and dietary needs of the athlete and the general individual
  • An ability to maintain the gym equipment as well as keep the gym environment clean and safe
  • Provide a high level of gym supervision, correcting technique where necessary, offering advice on alternative exercise, provide motivation and support to members
  • Have a sound knowledge of injuries, restrictions, illnesses, and conditions that may need to be considered when prescribing an effective exercise program.

  • A strong listener

  • A team player who supports their colleagues
  • The ability to lead and make decisions when the need arises
  • The passion to continue to learn and develop new skills
  • Senior First Aid qualified
  • Certificate three or four in Health and Fitness or relevant degree
