Unit and Teaching Evaluation Instrument (UTEI) Aggregated Reports

The Unit and Teaching Evaluation Instrument (UTEI) is a centrally administered survey that seeks student feedback on the quality of their units and the teaching within those units. The data generated is used to improve the design of units and influence best teaching practice. ECU’s policy is to survey all units and their teaching staff every time a unit is offered with results being made available to the individual lecturer and tutor, unit and course coordinators and heads of schools.

The UTEI surveys are administered almost exclusively online. A copy of the current three-part questionnaire (UTEI Form) is available from the download section.

University-wide unit, lecturer and tutor reports are made available at the end of each semester. These reports provide results for the global overall satisfaction on units, lecturing, and tutoring at school level, as well as overall ECU results. To access the results, please see the links on this page. If you require historic UTEI reports please contact Survey Services.
