The Faculty of Education and Arts provides postgraduate funding support to Masters and PhD students and a binding allowance for Honours students. These funds become available once a student has had ethics clearance approval and proposal approval (confirmation of candidature). Please read the Postgraduate Funding Guidelines before submitting a claim.
If you wish to undertake some travel for research or attend a conference and wish to use your PG funding allowance to pay for the airfare or conference registration, please contact the Coordinator Research Support for further advice on the process.
Prior to contacting the University Preferred Supplier (Travel Agent) you will need to get travel approval. This will require completion of the Travel Form for HDR Students and if you are on a scholarship, complete the Travel on Scholarship form available from our Graduate Research School web page.
For travel outside of Australia, you will need to check the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade website for up to date information on the status of your destination in order to complete the Travel Form for HDR Students.
For reimbursement claims relating to purchase of items for your research, please complete the Postgraduate Standard Claim form, including your banking details, attach original receipts, get it signed off by your supervisor and send to the Coordinator Research Support.
