Opportunity knocks for nurse leaders

An increasing number of retirements over the next decade are projected to result in the loss of many of the nursing profession’s senior leaders.

The Australian College of Nursing (ACN) recognises this as an opportunity to offer the next generation of nurses, access to the breadth of knowledge currently held within the profession.

The Emerging Nurse Leader (ENL) Program provides five chosen nurses students with amazing opportunities to develop leadership skills than can be applied throughout the rest of their nursing careers.

Applications are now open for the 2013 cohort of ENL participants, who will take place as part of the future leaders of the nursing profession. Applicants must be entering third year of their Bachelor or Nursing studies at an Australian university in 2013, and already show leadership traits that can be further developed during the program.

For further information, see the Emerging Nurse Leader website.

Applications must be received by 5.00pm on 24 August 2012.
