Important graduation dates

Graduation ceremonies are a big deal at ECU. They take a lot of planning and organising.

And some of that planning is down to you.

Check the dates below so you don’t end up missing out on one of the biggest days of your life.

Cut-off Dates

Fines or fees

If you have any fines or fees to pay, e.g. parking fines, overdue library book fines, or unpaid fees, these must be paid by: Thursday, 4 July 2024.

To check, login to SIMO.

Course completion

To be sure that you’ve completed your course by the cut-off date, go to the Course Details and Progress page on SIMO. Your record should say ‘completed’ by: Thursday, 18 July 2024.

Register to graduate

You need to respond to the graduation invitation we email to you by accepting, deferring or declining the invitation.

Registration cut-off date is: Sunday, 11 August 2024 at midnight. If you do not respond, you will not be eligible for any future graduation ceremonies.

Ordering your regalia

The cut-off date for ordering your compulsory academic regalia (the hat and robe) for your ceremony is:

  • Perth ceremonies - Monday, 19 August  2024

Ticket and Regalia collection

You'll need to collect your tickets and regalia before graduation day, see the collection day and time below.

Perth tickets and regalia

  • Date: Saturday, 31 August
  • Time: 8am – 6pm
  • Location: ECU Joondalup Campus Building 22 ECU Sports Centre Function Room

Ceremony dates

Perth graduation ceremonies

Date: Saturday, 7 September and Sunday, 8 September 2024

Specific ceremony times for each School will be published later in 2024.
