Academic regalia is the impressive hat and gown you see in everyone's graduation photos. It's made up of a black gown, a colour sash that relates to your degree, and a mortarboard (square hat).
It's compulsory for all graduates to wear academic regalia applicable to the degree they're being awarded.
You're also expected to wear business attire as part of your outfit. You don't want to look half-dressed!
With pride! But if you need some help dressing in your regalia, there'll be a ‘Dress me' station at your graduation ceremony.
It opens two hours before the ceremony and staff will be able to assist you there. You can also ask one of the team when you collect your regalia.
Once you accept your invitation, you can order your regalia from our supplier, GFP Graduations. Just select ECU as your university and off you go!
You'll be asked to collect your regalia before graduation day, see the collection days and times below.
If you're unable to collect at the specified time, or you don't have anyone who can collect on your behalf, please contact our Graduations team.
Please return your regalia at the graduation venue after the ceremony concludes.
