Community activity

The School of Nursing and Midwifery has strong relationships with Perth metropolitan teaching hospitals and healthcare facilities, and offers students the opportunity to undertake placement in several overseas destinations.

Mothers Adopting Midwifery Students (MAMS) Program

The MAMS program offers the support of one specially allocated midwifery student, who will support you and your partner in your personal journey from pregnancy to after the birth of your baby. This free program provides invaluable learning opportunities for ECU midwifery students who will be under the supervision of your trained maternity care health provider.

International Community Placement

Our Nursing program offers students the opportunity to undertake a community placement overseas, where they are able to work in a different healthcare system and experience health from a diverse cultural background. The community placement opportunities available to students exist within Laos, the Philippines, Thailand and Tanzania.
