Research and creative activity

The School of Communications and Arts is committed to conducting research that has a strong social and cultural impact. Collaborating with community, government and industries, our Centre for Research in Entertainment, Arts, Technology, Education and Communications (CREATEC), aims to provide innovative research solutions and knowledge transfer that have beneficial impact and solve real world problems. The research staff are constantly seeking new opportunities to bridge the gap between academia and the broader community thus allowing us to develop strategies that align with our teaching and learning abilities.

CREATEC’s main objective is to increase research and creative output through nationally competitive research grants, partnerships and dissemination of research through quality publications programs that benefit the community and industry. We take on the role of fostering the research effort within the School of Communications and Arts, by maintaining a focus on media, culture, communications, entertainment and contemporary arts.
