Counselling service
The Counselling Service can help to address any academic and personal issues that impact on your studies. It is a professional, confidential service available to all students free of charge on a short-term basis.
Our counsellors come from a range of professions and have postgraduate qualifications, skills and experience in helping people with a wide range of personal, psychological and study-related difficulties.
You can talk to a counsellor about anything that is causing you to feel worried or distressed. Some of the common difficulties that students can face include:
- balancing study, life and work;
- time management;
- cultural adjustment and living away from home,
- anxiety and depression;
- difficulty studying, worrying about achievement, doing presentations and exams, and
- problems in relationships with family, friends and partners.
