Access and Inclusion

Access and Inclusion provide support to students with diverse study needs.

In particular, this service is offered to students with a permanent or temporary disability or medical condition which may impact on their participation at ECU, or students who care for a family member with a disability or medical condition.

This support may include:

  • liaison with academic staff about any potential barriers a student may face and any reasonable adjustments that may be required
  • alternative format study materials
  • alternative assessment and examination conditions
  • access to a range of assistive equipment, software and technology
  • provision of note-takers, scribes or Auslan interpreters
  • library assistance

The service develops individualised Learning Adjustment Plans for eligible students to minimise the impact on their studies, and any recommended adjustments.
