The Joondalup Pines outdoor cinema, located on our Joondalup Campus, is home to the Perth Festival’s annual Lotterywest Film program, held during the warmer months of December-April.
Situated amongst pine trees and adjacent to a lake and landscaped surrounds, the venue offers staff, students and the general public an opportunity to view acclaimed international films in a unique setting.
Opened in 1999, the venue can accommodate up to 400 patrons on a mix of deckchair-style seats, bean bags or on their picnic rugs on grassed areas.
The current film season commenced on Tuesday 5 December 2017 and runs until 15 April 2018, with daily screenings from Tuesday to Sunday*.
Films start at 8pm, with ticket sales from 6.30pm.

Films usually go ahead in the event of rain. Any cancellations will be announced by 4.30pm on the day of screening at perthfestival.com.au and on Facebook/Twitter.

Tickets purchased at the door are $18 adult, $16 for concession holders, $15 for Festival Friends, or $13.50 for students.
On Tuesdays, all concession cardholders can purchase $10 tickets at the door. EFTPOS facilities are also available.
Picnicking has become a traditional part of the pre-film entertainment and is a great way to start your evening with friends or family.
Please note there are no facilities on site to purchase alcohol – BYO drinks are welcome.
A selection of food, non-alcoholic beverages, coffee and ice cream can also be purchased from the Snack Hut situated next to the venue. (Open Tuesday - Thursday). View food and drinks menu.

Free parking is available across campus. The closest carparks to Joondalup Pines are carparks 8 and 14. Please refer to Joondalup Campus map.
