New uni course at Edith Cowan University aims to tackle FIFO toxic culture by educating workplace leaders

A WA university course will launch in March aimed at tackling toxic cultures in mining — educating industry leaders on how to prevent and deal with sexual harassment and bullying.

Edith Cowan University’s new graduate certificate is targeted at management more broadly but will include three key units aimed at fly-in, fly-out work.

De-identified real-life incidents will be used on the course, with students asked to draw on their industry experience to identify how to create safer workplaces.
