Theory meets practice

Theory Meets Practice has emerged from the project Thinking about Visual Arts: Exploring student engagement and assessment in responding to artworks and artists.

It is a space for sharing resources and research about teaching art history, art analysis, and all things related to the consumption of art and how this can be integrates with students’ art making. The Thinking about Visual Arts project is about working alongside teachers to monitor student’s engagement in responding to art, and to co-develop and trial resources that boost students’ engagement in this area.

Theory Meets Practice is a working space, where we upload new ideas and resources that have been tested with students. You will find their feedback alongside downloadable resources.
