** Alumni, Reciprocal and Community borrowers are unable to place holds themselves. For assistance, please see loans staff or contact Library Services.
*** Library staff may recall items required for the High Use Collection. Recalled items must be returned by the revised due date or penalties will be applied.

Please check your ECU email account regularly to make sure that you receive important information regarding your library record such as overdue items, holds to pick up, items being recalled, and fines.

Items that are damaged, lost, or not returned are billed at a standard cost of $110 per item, unless a book is deemed rare or valuable, in which case the replacement cost will be charged. Patrons cannot replace a lost book with one purchased themselves. Once an item has been invoiced, return of items will not be accepted in lieu of payment.

Borrow from other Australian University Libraries

ECU students and staff can join Curtin, Murdoch and UWA libraries by registering online with the Western Australian Group of University Librarians (WAGUL) for reciprocal borrowing.

Please ensure you register before you go to their library and you take your ECU ID card with you.

Online registrations are processed Monday to Friday and may take up to 48 hours for your registration to be active. If you need immediate registration please register in person at the library you wish to borrow from. When using another university library please remember to follow the rules of that library.

Document delivery

Postgraduate students and staff may also be entitled to use our document delivery service. Find more information here.
