Peer support with learning technologies

Virtual Peer Support for online learning (VEEPS)

While studying online it’s likely you’re going to be faced with some new ways of doing things.

You’ll be relying more heavily on technology to connect and collaborate with staff and peers, and using new platforms and applications. Some things will be easy, while others might require a little bit of help.

VEEPS are here to usher you through your online learning journey!

The new service has been designed to deliver just-in-time assistance when you need to know what to do, or where to click, in order to solve any online learning issues as they arise and let you get on with your work.

VEEPS is run through Microsoft Teams, so it’s easy to call or online chat to a friendly and knowledgeable VEEPS team member pretty much instantly during the service hours.

Don’t go it alone!

What kind of questions can I ask?

  • How to access and use Blackboard or Blackboard Collaborate to attend lectures and engage in tutorials.
  • How to watch, make, edit or share a video using Panopto.
  • How can I access and navigate PebblePad?
  • How do I submit an assignment using Turnitin?
  • Help! I need formatting or technical assistance with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams etc).
  • Other technology related queries you encounter in your studies.

Service details

The VEEPS are taking a short break! They'll be back at the start of semester 2 at the times listed below.

If you have a query outside the service times, feel free to leave a voicemail or a message in the chat and one of our team will get back to you at the next scheduled service time!

Service hours:

  • Weekday hours: 10:00am-3:00pm
