Library workshops

ECU offers a range of workshops and events on campus and online to assist you reach your study and research goals.

Academic skills Workshops

Academic skills workshops are open to all ECU University Preparation Course, undergraduate and postgraduate students.

They’re designed to teach you a range of skills including:

  • academic writing and report writing
  • how to research and construct assignments
  • how to reference
  • using EndNote

On campus workshops – no bookings required.

Online workshops – join through Blackboard.

Assignment Drop-Ins

We also provide access to support through generic and School-specific assignment drop-ins.

Assignment drop-ins are open to all ECU University Preparation Course, undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Librarians are present at the sessions to help you with research and referencing.

South West Campus

In addition to online workshops, the South West Campus Library offers a range of on campus workshops.

Research staff and higher degree by research students

The Library facilitates a range of workshops specifically designed to assist research staff and higher degree by research students.

These are offered either on campus, as live webinars or via appointment.

Topics include:

  • planning and sourcing information
  • researcher profiles eg ORCID
  • research metrics
  • open access and data sharing via the Institutional Repository
