Welcome to the ECU Health Centre Wanneroo and Yanchep

The ECU Health Centres at Wanneroo and Yanchep are integrated primary healthcare facilities offering a 'one-stop shop' for patients and families. The ECU Health Centres provide a range of multidisciplinary health services and programs to build the health and wellbeing of the Yanchep and Wanneroo communities. The Centres incorporate clinical training and research, helping support the development of the future health workforce.

ECU Health Centre Wanneroo

The ECU Health Centre Wanneroo was established in 2014 as a one-stop shop for integrated primary healthcare servicing Wanneroo and surrounding areas. Funding was provided by the Commonwealth Government’s GP Super Clinic program. The ECU Health Centre Wanneroo includes the Wanneroo GP Super Clinic, the ECU Psychological Services, and the Allied Health Precinct, powered by ECU and Business Station.

ECU Health Centre Yanchep

The ECU Health Centre Yanchep is a new development launching in two phases in 2024 and 2026. It includes two co-located sites in central Yanchep, comprising an existing multidisciplinary health centre opening in 2024 which will include general practice, pharmacy, allied health, and nursing. The second facility, opening in 2026, will provide a range of health and wellbeing services, and both Centres will have a focus on health education and research.

Research Register

The ECU Health Centre Research Register helps match researchers with people who are interested in participating in health research. People can sign up to the Register and agree to receive information about research projects which match their areas of interest. The Research Register makes it easier for people to participate in research which improves the health and wellbeing of the community.

Education and training

The ECU Health Centre is an integrated clinical training and education facility. It supports the development of the future health workforce by providing clinical placements for nursing, paramedicine, psychology and allied health students, as well as GP registrar training at the Wanneroo GP Super Clinic.

Research

ECU fosters research at the ECU Health Centre which is collaborative, addresses real-world issues, and is responsive to community needs. We aim to generate research outcomes which translate into improved healthcare practice, and we encourage community input and partnership.

ECU acknowledges that the ECU Health Centre stands on Whadjuk Noongar boodjar. We pay respect to the traditional custodians of the land, the elders past and present, and the emerging leaders of the Whadjuk Noongar peoples, and we acknowledge their continuing cultural, spiritual, and religious connection to the land.
