CreatorsLAB
The CreatorsLAB is ECU’s innovation studio where creative practice, experiential design and technology come together to explore ideas and unlock opportunities. Located at the intersection of campus and city, it connects people, disciplines and industries to turn ideas into action.
A connected space for creativity
The CreatorsLAB is designed for how ideas happen, with a flexible, no-walls approach that adapts from focused work to collaboration and public activation. Located on the corner of Wellington Street and Yagan Square in the heart of Perth, it is a visible, public-facing hub connecting ECU’s community with Perth’s creative and technology sectors, opening pathways for partnership and collaboration.
How it comes to life
The CreatorsLAB brings ideas to life through a mix of programs, tools and experiences designed for making. From ideation and collaboration to prototyping and public showcase, it supports every stage of the creative process. Through creative technology projects, innovation programs and hands-on learning experiences, users can experiment, build skills and turn ideas into real-world outcomes.
CreatorsLAB in action
The CreatorsLAB comes to life through programs like the Excite Program, giving staff and students hands-on access to emerging technologies and creative tools. From agentic AI to immersive experiences, participants move quickly from exploration to making in a collaborative, supported environment. No experience required, just curiosity.
