2026 ECU Sri Lanka Undergraduate Scholarship for International Students

The ECU Sri Lanka Undergraduate Scholarship for International Students is offered to international students commencing studies at the ECU Sri Lanka campus in selected ECU undergraduate courses from Semester 2, 2026 (July 2026) to Semester 2, 2027 (July 2027). The scheme provides a 10% reduction in tuition fees for ECU units undertaken in the first three trimesters of their course of study at ECU’s campus in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

At a glance

  • Applicants must be international students studying in Sri Lanka on a student visa and must receive an offer to commence study at ECU’s campus in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in Year 1 of an ECU undergraduate degree.
  • Open to prospective students who commence studies in Semester 2 2026 (July 2026), Summer 2026 (November 2026), Semester 1 2027 (February 2027), or Semester 2 2027 (July 2027).
  • This scholarship is awarded to international students who commence their studies as full‑time students. The scholarship will be offered for the first three trimesters of their course undertaken at ECU Sri Lanka only.

Eligibility guidelines

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • Be a domestic student(Sri Lankan citizen) studying at ECU’s campus in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
  • Not be in receipt of a government scholarship or industry sponsorship.
  • Have been issued an offer to commence study in Year 1 of the selected undergraduate programs in July 2026, November 2026, February 2027, or July 2027.
  • Not be in receipt of any credit for prior learning.
  • Meet ECU’s academic and English language entry requirements for the selected course, as well as any other applicable admission requirements imposed by ECU’s statutes, by‑laws, rules, policies and procedures.

Terms and conditions

  • The scholarship recipient must continue to meet the eligibility guidelines and these terms and conditions at the time of applying and throughout their period of study to which this scholarship applies.
  • The scholarship recipient must be in continuous good standing academically (green status) and financially.
  • The scholarship cannot be used on repeated units.
  • Scholarship recipients must maintain a continuous full‑time study load and maintain a WAM of 85% or above.
  • Course transfers are not permitted without ECU’s permission (permission may be withheld by ECU in its absolute discretion).
  • The scholarship can only be used for tuition fees and cannot be used for any other student expense.
  • The discount will be applied on a unit‑by‑unit basis at the relevant census date.
  • A student who receives this scholarship will not be entitled to apply for credit for recognition of prior learning in relation to the Course.
  • The scholarship cannot be transferred to any other ECU location, ACBT or any other partner organisation, or to another university or education provider.
  • The scholarship recipient must pay their tuition fees within the stipulated payment deadlines; failure to do so may negate the scholarship and the tuition fee structure will revert to full‑fee paying tuition fees.
  • The scholarship can be revoked if the recipient does not accept their Letter of Offer or enrol in their course by the date specified, or is found guilty of academic misconduct or any form of misconduct during their studies.
  • The commencement of the scholarship cannot be deferred.
  • The scholarship recipient may be ineligible for the scholarship if they are in receipt of a government scholarship, industry sponsorship, or another ECU scholarship or grant during the term of the scholarship. This is at the discretion of ECU.
  • The scholarship recipient must comply with any applicable requirements under ECU’s statutes, rules, by‑laws, policies, procedures or other similar instruments.
  • The scholarship recipient (international students) must comply with any applicable Sri Lankan visa requirements.
  • The recipient must notify ECU of any change of circumstances that may affect their ongoing eligibility to receive the scholarship.

All scholarships are awarded at ECU Sri Lanka’s discretion. ECU Sri Lanka reserves the right to revoke the scholarship at any stage if a student is found to have provided information that is misleading, does not meet the scholarship eligibility criteria (including ECU’s standard and specific admission requirements), or does not comply with the ongoing conditions of the scholarship.

ECU Sri Lanka reserves the right to decline to award scholarships if, in its opinion, there are no suitable applicants. The number of scholarships to be awarded shall be at ECU Sri Lanka’s sole discretion. This scholarship may be withdrawn from offering by ECU Sri Lanka at any time.

How to apply

If your ECU course application is approved, you can complete the separate scholarship application form provided by our Admissions Office. A separate application is required for scholarship consideration.
The Admissions Office will issue a separate scholarship outcome letter, along with a Letter of Offer for your course, confirming whether your scholarship application has been successful.
