The ECU Success Scholarship supports eligible international students commencing study at Edith Cowan University in 2027. The scholarship recognises and supports students throughout their academic journey, with the scholarship value increasing as students progress through an eligible course at ECU. Eligible students may receive a tuition fee reduction ranging from 15% to 25%, depending on their stage of study and remaining credit points required to complete their course. All recipients commence the scholarship at the 15% tuition fee reduction, including students admitted with recognition of prior learning or approved credit transfer.

The course durations above are based on the standard duration of an eligible course and are provided as a guide only. All recipients commence at the 15% scholarship stage, regardless of any recognition of prior learning or approved credit transfer. Progression to a higher scholarship stage is based only on credit points successfully completed at ECU and may be affected by repeated units or other approved changes to the student’s course structure. The scholarship may not be available on all optional or elective units.

Undergraduate courses: All ECU Bachelor courses are eligible, except one-year Bachelor (Honours) courses, all courses offered by the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), and the courses listed below.

Postgraduate courses: Only the Master by Coursework courses listed below are eligible.

Full scholarship terms and conditions
1. The ECU Success Scholarship is awarded at ECU’s sole discretion.
2. The scholarship is provided as a tuition fee reduction and applies only to tuition fees for an eligible course.
3. The scholarship cannot be transferred, refunded, deferred, or exchanged for cash or any other benefit.
4. The scholarship applies only to eligible courses delivered on campus at ECU Joondalup Campus, ECU City Campus, or ECU South West Campus.
5. The scholarship cannot be transferred to another institution or to an ECU delivery location or partner outside Western Australia.
6. The scholarship may be transferred to another eligible ECU course, provided both the original and new course are included in the eligible courses list at the time of transfer.
7. ECU reserves the right to reassess scholarship stage, duration, and ongoing eligibility following any approved course transfer.
8. Scholarship recipients must maintain enrolment as an international full fee-paying non-sponsored student for the duration of the scholarship.
9. Any revised scholarship stage and tuition fee reduction will apply from the next applicable study period following ECU’s assessment that the relevant credit point threshold has been achieved.
10. Progression to a higher scholarship stage is based only on credit points successfully completed at ECU. Credit granted through recognition of prior learning does not count towards scholarship progression.
11. Progression to a higher scholarship stage is subject to successful completion of the required credit points for the applicable scholarship stage.
12. Any revised scholarship stage and tuition fee reduction will apply from the next applicable study period after ECU determines that the required credit points have been successfully completed.
13. Recognition of prior learning or approved credit transfer may reduce the duration and overall value of the scholarship. Depending on the remaining course duration, a recipient may not progress through all scholarship stages.
14. The scholarship does not apply to tuition fees for a unit that is repeated following an unsuccessful attempt. Repeated units do not count towards progression to a higher scholarship stage until successfully completed at ECU.
15. Scholarship recipients must notify ECU of any change in circumstances that may affect their eligibility for, or entitlement to, the scholarship.
16. Scholarship recipients must maintain full-time enrolment unless otherwise approved by ECU.
17. Scholarship recipients must remain in good academic and financial standing with the University throughout the duration of the scholarship.
18. Tuition fees must be paid by the relevant payment deadlines each study period. Failure to do so may result in the scholarship being withdrawn and tuition fees reverting to the full international student tuition fee rate.
19. Failure to accept the Letter of Offer, enrol, or pay tuition fees by the required deadlines may result in the scholarship being withdrawn.
20. Students must comply with all ECU statutes, rules, policies, procedures, and applicable visa requirements.

23. ECU reserves the right not to award scholarships where there are no suitable applicants.

Eligible applicants are automatically assessed for the ECU Success Scholarship at the time of applying for an eligible course at ECU. No separate scholarship application is required.
