Destination Australia Scholarships

Destination Australia – an Australian Government initiative have made available 9 scholarships for full time students studying at ECU South West Campus in an eligible Diploma, Bachelor or Postgraduate course in 2026. Successful recipients will receive a one off payment of $7500.

Eligibility guidelines

To be eligible for this scholarship you must;

  • be an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident;
  • be enrolled in a Diploma, Undergraduate or Postgraduate course at ECU South West Campus in 2026;
  • be studying full time (60 credit points per Semester);
  • be enrolled at the ECU South West Campus. Minimum of 50% course load to be enrolled on campus;
  • have a current progression status of  GREEN;
  • not be in receipt of another scholarship valued over $5000 per year; and
  • reside in the South West Region.

How to apply

Application is made via the ECU Online Scholarship Application Portal. Access to the portal is available between application opening and closing dates.

Applicants will be required to provide a personal statement of no more than 500 words addressing these questions:

  • Why have you chosen to study your selected degree?
  • How would receiving a Destination Australia Scholarship to study at ECU South West Campus benefit you?

Eligible applications will be assessed by a Selection Committee. Selection will be based on:

  • Content of Personal Statement
