- Applicants must be enrolled in one of the following undergraduate programs: Bachelor of Psychology, Bachelor of Technology (Engineering), or Bachelor of Communication, and must receive an offer to commence Year 1 of their undergraduate degree at ECU’s campus in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
- Open to prospective students (not current students) who commence studies in either Semester 1 2026 (February 2026) or Semester 2 2026 (July 2026).
- This scholarship is awarded to both domestic and international students who commence their studies as full‑time students. The scholarship will be offered for the first three trimesters of their course undertaken at ECU Sri Lanka only.
Eligibility guidelines
To be eligible for this scholarship applicants must:
- Be a student enrolled full‑time in one of the following programs at ECU’s campus in Colombo, Sri Lanka: Bachelor of Psychology, Bachelor of Technology (Engineering), or Bachelor of Communication.
- Not be in receipt of a government scholarship, industry sponsorship, or any other ECU scholarship.
- Have been issued an offer to commence study in Year 1 of the selected undergraduate programs in February 2026 or July 2026.
- Not be in receipt of any credit for prior learning.
- Meet ECU’s academic and English language entry requirements for the selected course, as well as any other applicable admission requirements imposed by ECU’s statutes, by‑laws, rules, policies and procedures.
Terms and conditions
The following ongoing conditions apply to this scholarship:
- The scholarship recipient must continue to meet the eligibility guidelines and these terms and conditions at the time of applying and throughout their period of study to which this scholarship applies.
- These scholarship recipients will not receive any other ECU scholarship at the time they receive this scholarship.
- The scholarship recipient must be in continuous good standing academically (green status) and financially.
- The scholarship cannot be used on repeated units.
- Scholarship recipients must maintain a continuous full‑time study load.
- Course transfers are not permitted without ECU’s permission (permission may be withheld by ECU in its absolute discretion).
- The scholarship can only be used for tuition fees and cannot be used for any other student expense.
- The discount will be applied on a unit‑by‑unit basis at the relevant census date.
- A student who receives this scholarship will not be entitled to apply for credit for recognition of prior learning in relation to the Course.
- The scholarship cannot be transferred to any other ECU location, ACBT or any other partner organisation, or to another university or education provider.
- The scholarship recipient must pay their tuition fees within the stipulated payment deadlines; failure to do so may negate the scholarship and the tuition fee structure will revert to full‑fee paying tuition fees.
- The scholarship can be revoked if the recipient does not accept their Letter of Offer or enrol in their course by the date specified, or is found guilty of academic misconduct or any form of misconduct during their studies.
- The commencement of the scholarship cannot be deferred.
- The scholarship recipient may be ineligible for the scholarship if they are in receipt of a government scholarship, industry sponsorship, or another ECU scholarship or grant during the term of the scholarship. This is at the discretion of ECU.
- The scholarship recipient must comply with any applicable requirements under ECU’s statutes, rules, by‑laws, policies, procedures or other similar instruments.
- The scholarship recipient (international students) must comply with any applicable Sri Lankan visa requirements.
- The recipient must notify ECU of any change of circumstances that may affect their ongoing eligibility to receive the scholarship.
All scholarships are awarded at ECUSL’s discretion. ECUSL reserves the right to revoke the scholarship at any stage if a student is found to have provided information that is misleading, does not meet the scholarship eligibility criteria (including ECU’s standard and specific admission requirements), or does not comply with the ongoing conditions of the scholarship.
ECUSL reserves the right to decline to award scholarships if, in its opinion, there are no suitable applicants. The number of scholarships to be awarded shall be at ECUSL’s sole discretion. This scholarship may be withdrawn from offering by ECUSL at any time.
How to apply
If we approve your ECU course application, you’ll automatically be assessed for this scholarship by our Admissions Office. No separate scholarship application is required.
The Admissions Office will issue a separate letter relating to your scholarship, along with a Letter of Offer for your course, to confirm whether you’ve been successful.
