Norman Archibald Percussion Scholarship

The Norman Archibald Percussion Scholarship was established in 2015 to support meritorious classical percussion students enrolled in WAAPA's Bachelor of Music. The scholarship will provide financial support to students who demonstrate excellence in classical percussion thanks to the generosity of the donor Mr Neil Archibald.The scholarship offers a once off payment of $2,000 to the successful applicant.

Eligibility guidelines

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

  • be an Australian citizen;
  • be enrolled full time in WAAPA's Bachelor of Music Course;
  • be a Classical Percussion major; and
  • have maintained an academic status of good standing at the end of each semester (as defined in the ECU handbook).

Selection criteria

Selection will be based on your:

  • personal statement; and
  • your demonstrated excellence in classical percussion.

How to apply

Application is made via the ECU Online Scholarship Application Portal. Access to the portal is available between application opening and closing dates.

As part of the application you will be required to write a statement of max 500 words describing how your personal circumstances would benefit from   receiving of this scholarship.
