Sir Frank Ledger Scholarship Fund for Engineering

The Sir Frank Ledger Scholarship Fund for Engineering is generously supported by the Sir Frank Ledger Charitable Trust. The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist and encourage commencing students in the School of Engineering who have demonstrated drive and commitment to achieve academically, despite financial need or other personal difficulty. The Scholarship will provide the recipient with $10,000 per year for the duration of their course up to 4 years.

Eligibility guidelines

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • be an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident;
  • be enrolled in an Undergraduate Course within the School of Engineering;
  • have and maintain an academic progression status of GREEN;
  • be studying full-time, 60 credit points per Semester;
  • be enrolled in first year of course, in first Semester; and
  • not currently be in receipt of a substantial scholarship over $5000.

How to apply

Application is made via the ECU Online Scholarship Application Portal. Access to the portal is available between application opening and closing dates.

Applicants will be required to provide a personal statement of no more than 500 words addressing the below;

  • Demonstrate drive and commitment to achieve academically, despite financial hardship or other personal difficulty; and
  • How will the award assist you in addressing these limitations referred to above.

Selection Process

Eligible applications will be assessed by a Selection Committee.

Selection will be based on:

  • Content of Personal Statement; and
  • ATAR or equivalent.
