The Appius Lawyers Scholarship

The Appius Lawyers Scholarship has been generously established to support a student enrolled in the Bachelor of Laws or Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at ECU. The scholarship is intended to assist students who may be experiencing financial hardship related to the costs of university study. It provides a one-off payment of $5,000.

Eligibility guidelines

In order to be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • be an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident;
  • be enrolled in V72 or Y11 Bachelor of Laws or U37 Bachelor of Laws Honours;
  • have and maintain an academic progression status of GREEN;
  • be enrolled full time and remain enrolled in a minimum of 60 credit points per semester;
  • not be in receipt of another scholarship valued over $5000.

How to apply

Application is made via the ECU Online Scholarship Application Portal. Access to the Portal is available between application opening and closing dates.

Applicants will be required to provide a personal statement of no more than 500 words responding to the below;

  • Demonstrate your drive and commitment to establishing a career in your chosen area of study.
  • How will the Scholarship assist you in addressing difficulties such as barriers to education, financial hardship or other personal difficulty?

Selection Process

Eligible applications will be assessed by a Selection Committee.
