WAAPA Scholarship for Excellence

The WAAPA Scholarship for Excellence has been generously donated to provide financial support to a final year WAAPA student studying an Undergraduate Bachelor course. The Scholarship is aimed to assist academic achievers who also require financial support. The Scholarship is a one-off payment of $6000.

Eligibility guidelines

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • be an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident;
  • be enrolled in final year of an Undergraduate Bachelor course at WAAPA;
  • have and maintain an academic progression status of GREEN;
  • have a minimum WAM of 70%;
  • be studying full-time (60 credit points or course equivalent);
  • be able to demonstrate financial hardship; and
  • not be in receipt of another scholarship over $5000.

How to apply

Application is made via the ECU Online Scholarship Application Portal. Access to the Portal is available between application opening and closing dates.

Applicants will be required to provide a personal statement of no more than 500 words addressing the following;

Describe your current financial personal circumstances and how you would benefit from receiving the scholarship.

Selection criteria

Eligible applications will be assessed by a Selection Committee.

Selection will be based on:

  • Content of Personal Statement; and
  • WAM
