Overview

The National Teaching Fellowships are awarded to high-profile leaders from universities across Australia who are exemplars of, and strong advocates for excellence in higher education learning and teaching. Professor Cobie Rudd’s 2011-12 National Teaching Fellowship, worth $350,000, will support her to develop strategies and tools to promote learning through simulation in a range of settings within the education sector. The funding will help address opportunities for education and training using simulation and has an interprofessional focus targeting all health disciplines.

Research

Health Workforce Australia funded Simulated Learning Curricula 2010 projects

Professor Rudd led three of the twelve Health Workforce Australia funded Simulated Learning Curricula 2010 projects that identified aspects of curriculum that could be effectively delivered through learning using simulation.

Collaborative Research Network

ECU was successful in achieving a Collaborative Research Network [$5,615,052 from the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research (DIISR)]. Professor Rudd is one of the six Project Leaders for this CRN and leads the stream that includes funding for research around learning through simulation.
