Centre for Precision Health Seminar Series - Beyond biomarkers: Systems-level insights into health and disease through metabolic phenotyping

The Centre for Precision Health welcomes Dr Luke Whiley to the CPH Seminar Series. Dr Luke Whiley is a Senior Lecturer at Curtin University, where he leads the Lipid and Metabolic Phenotype Group within the Curtin Medical Research Institute, alongside an adjunct role at the Centre for Computational and Systems Medicine at Murdoch University.

Dr Luke Whiley’s research spans mass spectrometry-based metabolic phenotyping applied to neurodegenerative disease, traumatic injury and gut microbial co-metabolism, a program developed from previous roles at the UK National Phenome Centre and the UK Dementia Research Institutes at Imperial College London. Luke is the inaugural President of the Australian Lipid Society and until recently held a Dementia Australia Royce Simmons Foundation Mid-Career Research Fellowship (2024–2026).
