ECU is seeking a PhD or Masters candidate to undertake research within the Centre for Improving Health Services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children and Families (ISAC). ISAC is an established research team situated within Kurongkurl Katitjin, ECU’s Centre for Indigenous Australian Education and Research.
ISAC’s purpose is to improve health and developmental outcomes in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in Australia through improvements in health services.
Key Research Objectives:
1. Generate new knowledge that leads to improved health and developmental outcomes in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children through improved health services
2. Ensure effective transfer of research outcomes into health policy and practice
3. Improve primary, secondary and tertiary level health services but specifically focus on improving pathways within primary community care
The successful candidate will be supported to develop a project that complements the team’s data collection and extends the research in Western Australia.
This research will be funded by Kurongkurl Katitjin, ECU’s Centre for Indigenous Australian Education and Research. A Scholarship is offered from $30,000/yr over 3.5 years.
