WAAPA Scholarship for Aboriginal Performance

The Scholarship will support a student enrolled in Certificate IV in Aboriginal Performance course at WAAPA. The Scholarship is aimed to assist students to complete their course who have a passion for aboriginal performance and are experiencing financial hardship. The Scholarship is a one-off payment of $4,000 to cover course fees. Any remaining credit after fees are covered will be paid directly to the scholarship recipient.

Eligibility guidelines

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent;
  • be experiencing from financial hardship;
  • maintain a course progression status of GREEN; and
  • be enrolled full time in Certificate IV in Aboriginal Performance;
  • not be in receipt of another scholarship over $5000.

How to apply

Application is made via the ECU Online Scholarship Application Portal. Access to the Portal is available between application opening and closing dates.

Applicants will be required to provide a personal statement of no more than 500 words addressing the following;
