CPPP member accomplishments

After months of hard work Djilba, the Noongar season of conception, yielded many accomplishments for members of the Centre for People Place and Planet. Productive times lie ahead.

CPPP External Member Sandra Wooltorton, and Co-Directors Mindy Blaise and Pierre Horwitz are a part of a project and have had an ARC Grant awarded to them. The project is led by Professor Anne Poelina, along with Professor Stephen Muecke, Adjunct Professor Alec Coles, and Ms Catrina Aniere working on the project. The grant was awarded for the research of intergenerational cultural transfer of Indigenous knowledges. Congratulations!

The WISH Fiji project, run by Aaron Jenkins and Pierre Horwitz, was awarded $57,000 from the Indopacific Health Security Centre. Congratulations Aaron and Pierre!

Pierre Horwitz’s Gnangara wetland work was awarded $29,000. Congratulations Pierre!
