Summary of thesis:

Breast cancer (BC) is the most prevalent cancer in Women and one of the leading causes of cancer deaths worldwide. The poor prognosis is primarily due to the spread of aggressive BCs, such as triple-negative (TNBC) and therapy-resistant BCs. Recently, we have unravelled the functional role of an alternate hormone receptor that could be utilised to target TNBCs.  My project is to identify small molecules that can act through the newly identified hormone receptor and improve the outcomes of BC patients with aggressive subtypes of cancers.
