Summary of thesis:

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most common malignant tumors with high morbidity and mortality. However, there are no effective early detection biomarkers at clinical setting to date. We propose to screen candidate gene variants affecting IgG N-glycan abnormalities, IgGN-glycan levels and to investigate the correlation between IgG N-Glycan and CRC occurrence/metastasis in a case-control study. In addition, for causal inference, a Mendelian randomization approach will be used to develop a CRC risk stratification and prediction model.
