Summary of thesis:

There has been a rise in the number of people who are in an intermediate stage between health and disease known as suboptimal health status (SHS). SHSQ-25, a comprehensive suboptimal health questionnaire has been recognised as a reliable and robust tool to facilitate SHS evaluation. This crucial distinctions between health and SHS provides a critical  decision in how doctors and health workers can approach preclinical health conditions. Glycans, one of the four major building blocks of life could potentially be the objective health dynamic biomarkers. This project will focus on integrating the subjective (SHS) and objective (glycan) health measures to create a powerful generic predictive instrument on measuring health conditions in general populations.
