Summary of thesis:

This research will apply a combined approach of microbiome and metabolome analyses to provide baseline information and to explore the mechanism of Graves Disease (GD). It will investigate the relationship between gut microbiota and plasma metabolites before, during and at the completion of GD treatment with Thionamide antithyroid drugs (ATDs). It may be useful for monitoring the effects of the ATDs treatment and has the potential to identify new therapeutic targets for GD.
