CPH Seminar Series - Harnessing the immune system to fight cancer

The April CPH Seminar series welcomes Professor Jonas Nilsson, Inaugural Chair of Melanoma Discovery at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research. Prof. Nilsson has built a multidisciplinary translational research group that works with the surgery clinics at all major hospitals in Perth. He is also collaborating with Cell and Tissue Therapies WA, the GMP laboratory at RPH to bring TIL therapy to Australia. This project is run in collaboration with ECU Professor Elin Gray, immunologist Jason Waithman and medical oncologist Peter Lau.

He will be joined by CPH Higher Degree by Research Student Luisa Pinnel, who will present her Masters by Research project on T-cell receptor repertoire and HLA genotype as potential biomarkers.
