When ECU City opens in 2026, it won’t just be a new campus - it’ll be a whole new way to learn. With 25 brand new teaching spaces designed for collaboration, creativity, and connection, every room is built to support how you study best.

Learning Spaces (LS)

Flat, flexible rooms designed for active learning:

  • Hexagonal tables you can split and move
  • Floor-to-ceiling whiteboards for brainstorming
  • Large wall screens for presentations and group work
  • 11 rooms, seating 36–48 students each

Digital Learning Spaces (DLS)

Tech-powered pods built for digital collaboration:

  • Screens, PCs and iPads at every pod
  • USB + wireless sharing for seamless teamwork
  • Designed for co-creation, not just note-taking
  • 14 rooms, seating 36–72 students

Specialist Teaching Spaces

Some learning calls for something extra:

  • Digital Hub (26 seats): A space for interactive, tech-driven projects
  • Smart Lab (36 seats): Hands-on problem solving and innovation
  • Moot Court (62 seats): Real-world legal practice in a courtroom setting
  • Harvard Case Study Room (48 seats): Tiered horseshoe seating for debate and discussion

Lecture Theatre

For the big moments - guest lectures, keynotes, and core classes.

  • Capacity: 200 students
  • Modern design, interactive technology, and a layout built for engagement
